Theme park RFID bracelets

Kids getting lost at theme parks is a concern of any parent. A number of companies are using RFID-tagged bracelets to alleviate the problem. Has anyone seen this system in action? How well does it work?

Lego land uses Bluesoft, I have looked at the technology for a client. It uses 802.11 technology so you can locate any RF handheld thats registered (mac address) with you. I think it's got many potential uses. Purdue is looking at using similar technology to locate friend at a ball game if they have an 802.11 device.

Hello

SecuriCode supplies solutions (including Bracelet Tags) for theme parks. These are not 802.11 but use our own air interface and protocol. Browser- based location and search applications are also available.

Yes it is possible to track people using RFID bracelets or wrist bands to locate where exactly the child is by creating Zones using RFID fixed readers.
